Private Sessions

Private Sessions:

Embodied Somatic Awareness and IFS

In these sessions I offer you a space of presence and unconditional love for all the emotions, sensations and experiences that arise given your life situation and the challenges you are going through. What makes my sessions different and reliable is that your healing is not determined by someone outside of you, your healing is determined by the healing power of your True Self. Your True Self guides us to listen and make space for the parts of you that need the most love, care and support. This promotes the process of disidentification of the parts that carry subconscious beliefs and limiting behaviors, as well as the integration of repressed emotions and energetic stagnation in the body. The body and the nervous system play an important role in the sessions, this allows us to go beyond words and promotes the integration of body, mind/emotions and spirit. It is an honor to guide you towards a freer and more authentic life led by your True Self.

Through the integration process it is possible to:

IFS model

The IFS model or "Internal Family Systems" is a model to understand how our mind-body-spirit works. It is an evidence-based psychospiritual model, pioneered by Dr. Richard Schwartz. In general, we express ourselves and experience life through feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. In IFS these are expressions of different "parts" of our personality.

Our personality consists of different parts that play different roles in our life, for example, “managers” are parts of our personality that run our daily life, they like to be in control and stability, and they do everything possible to avoid uncertainty. . An example is the "inner judge" who has self-critical or judgmental views of us. We can notice them as internal voices that judge, shame or blame us for our appearance, our decisions or how we do things. Inner critics can also be seen as internalized parenting parts.

The “firefighters” are parts of our personality that are reactive and take over when we feel overwhelmed by a negative feeling or thought. For example, if I have overwhelming emotion, a “firefighter” part may force me to watch movies to distract myself, eat, drink alcohol, or do any activity to avoid feeling-

And finally, the “exiles” are parts of our personality that had painful experiences in the past or at a young age and are therefore more vulnerable. For example, a part of me may still feel insecure if I was criticized by adults or other people growing up.

The "managers" and "firefighters" parts are protecting the most vulnerable parts, the "exiles", so that they do not overwhelm us and we can continue and function in life.

In addition to the parts of our personality, we also have access to a source of wisdom deep within us, in IFS, this source is known as SELF. You can think of SELF as your purest sense of existence, away from all aspects of your personality that might otherwise define you. You can also see the Self as your inner wisdom, your higher mind, your open heart, your divine essence or the wisdom of your soul. The IFS model helps us to access our SELF by separating ourselves from the parts of our personality and any feelings, thoughts or beliefs that they represent.

When we embody the SELF, we relate to all aspects of our personality with compassion and curiosity and play a mediating role to help them relax and live together in harmony. This inner harmony is reflected in outer harmony: in our relationships, our body and all aspects of our life.
